Service Camp is located on the beautiful Pamlico River just off River
Road at 389 Christian Service Camp Road, Washington, NC.
Our mission
here at Roanoke Christian Camp is “bringing people closer to Jesus”.
We desire excellence in each and every aspect of our programs and facility,
because our awesome God deserves no less! As we strive to “bring
people closer to Jesus”, it takes the combined vision, prayers
and support of the Church of Christ and Christian Churches of eastern
North Carolina. We trust God in His word when His son said, “What
is impossible with men is possible with God.” Luke 18:27
 WHAT WE OFFER
Roanoke Christian
Camp provides people of all ages with a place to engage in a variety
of activities designed to be fun and educational. Our unique programs
are created to bring all who come, to the saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ, encouraging each in their walk with Him. It’s our desire to
provide a stepping stone toward spiritual growth and challenge Christians
to a broader lifetime service through Bible-centered programs in a nature
oriented setting.
BRIEF HISTORY
Roanoke Christian
Service Camp began in 1945 as an effort of the Churches of Christ and
Christian Churches of eastern North Carolina to provide a ministry to
children. It now reaches and ministers to all children regardless of
race, religion and ethnic background. Thousands of young people have
experienced the joys of Christian camping while forming friendships
that last a lifetime. Through daily classes, chapel time,
vespers, campfires, mission speakers, and recreational activities, young
people have been and continue to be impacted with the message of the
Gospel of Christ. It is not unusual to hear many Bible College
students say they were challenged to Christian Service while at Roanoke
Christian Service Camp. Thanks is due to our supporting Churches
and our God who has provided this opportunity to serve.
